A Broadway Wedding - And All That Jazz!

A Broadway Wedding.... And All That Jazz!

To begin, we would like to introduce you to Cesar! The first time we met Cesar he introduced himself as the bride. He was full of ideas and would settle for nothing less than the best. Cesar is the kind of person who lights up a room. He is fun loving, handsome and has wonderful sense of style. It was not only fun planning his wedding it was an amazing experience getting to know him.

Cesar and his partner Bruce decided to have a lavish ceremony around the pool at the tennis club they are members at. They had a full wedding party including their pup Idina (Yes, after Idina Menzel). Idina got ready in the morning with Cesar (Couture, crystal embellished outfit with tutu included), she traveled in the limo with Cesar, she took pictures in Grand Central with Cesar and she even had her own chair at the Sweetheart table at dinner.

All photos were taken by Cly Creation. Here they are in Grand Central Terminal. Idina was amazingly well behaved and Cesar was the star we all knew he was.

Cesar was dressed in his custom designed suit with a 6' crystal and feather embellished train. All guests were asked to wear fabulous hats to the ceremony! Cesar's was beyond fabulous. His outfit was created by Iman Bridal Couture

Cesar and Bruce did their "first look" at Saint John the Divine Cathedral in Manhattan

Pilley Bianchi Musica had a wonderful team performing Broadway hits and classic New York City songs during the ceremony at the tennis club in Forest Hills Gardens. It really set the stage for the rest of the wedding.

After the ceremony 17 white stretch limos lined up along the driveway of the tennis club to escort all the guests to the reception venue. Instead of a receiving line; as the limos drove out of the garden gates Cesar and Bruce waived and each limo gave a quick little honk!
The limos took all the guests into midtown Manhattan to the Hudson Theater where the Broadway theme would continue. As guests entered the theater they were asked to go to roll call and pickup their tickets from the booth.

As the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour Cesar and Bruce were able to get one final rehearsal in with their dance team

When it was time for the guests to enter the reception they were all in awe when they saw the entire theater decorated as a formal dining room looking out towards the beautiful red velvet curtain on the giant stage. The tables were topped with centerpieces made of couture white, leather handbags overflowing with bright spring flowers. Each table setting had a playbill with menu, performance details and even advertisements of all the wedding vendors used throughout the wedding day.

Cesar and Bruce's grand entrance was like no other we have coordinated before. For months the two of them had been planning, choreographing and practicing a huge performance with their dance team. Words cannot explain what an experience this was for their guests. The lights, the costumes, the dance....it was all so professional and well done. The dance team, stage manager and lighting crew were all part of this fabulous dance number.

Throughout the evening Cesar made several outfit changes. This look included
leather pants, a white jacket and a fur scarf.

Other amazing details from this wedding include Micheal C. Fina thank you favors for all guests (Napkin rings and bracelets). Reception music including lots of Broadway hits from Dj Dina Regine A photobooth by Sweet Booths. A table full of cakes all designed by Sylvia Weinstock and limos for all guests to shuttle back to their cars at the ceremony site.

Although this wedding was A LOT of work.... hahahaha we thoroughly enjoyed it and find ourselves missing Cesar's boisterous personality. This was truly a wonderful experience.

A Vintage Loft Wedding

A Vintage Loft Wedding in Midtown Manhattan

Tiffany and Phillip are such a fun couple! Oventz had an amazing time getting to know them. What was really important to both of them was that their wedding really reflected them and their love. It did exactly that. Tiffany and Phillip picked an incredible venue called Gary's Loft in Midtown Manhattan. The owner has collected amazing vintage pieces that decorate the loft. A wonderful bonus is an amazing rooftop that sits in the shadows of the Empire State Building. The space is white from floor to ceiling. Tiffany and Phillip decided to stick with the white theme and add just a bit of color with lavender and black.

Our bride, Tiffany is a blond bombshell decorated in beautiful tattoos. Her bridal style was fun and yet still classic.

D for decor put together all the florals for the wedding. Tiffany and Phillip chose mason jars, a vintage bird cage, Russian netting, candle light and chalk boards to create a simple vintage look.

The groom and his entourage are looking great walking to the venue. Phillip doesn't look nervous at all! Abigail Fuqua did a wonderful job capturing their wedding day.

The Loft is setup like an open concept apartment. The bathroom had a claw foot tub that they used as a cooler for beer and wine. The couches and chairs acted as a great lounge area for guests when they weren't dancing. And the kitchen was the perfect place to setup the cupcake tower.

The ceremony was intimate and full of love. You can see in both their eyes they are very much in love. As wedding planners we are so lucky to get to see and be part of such a special and important part of people's lives. Each wedding we do we see what love means for two other people. It is a very special job.

You can see how much fun they have in these pictures! You just know they are not just lovers but incredible friends too.

And the party continued with music, dancing, food and more dancing!
